And the best bit? Every experience starts with one of our exemplary chauffeurs knocking on your door to escort to one of very luxurious saloons, and at the end of the experience? They will be waiting there to whisk you off home again, and the only extra baggage…a head full of wonderful memories.

The Treehouse Experience

Immerse yourself within Devonshire woodland just outside its pretty riverside village of Dittisham, this back-to-nature escape with all the thoughtful, luxurious hallmarks, Dittisham Hideaway isn’t a hotel but a collection of standalone accommodations: four Treehouses; five Shepherds Lodges; and an 1950s American Airstream.

Each one is finished to immaculate perfection and fitted with a kitchen, wood-fired hot tub, barbecue, and private outside space with access to electric car charging point stations.

The largest of them all are the Treehouses where two adults and three children can comfortably sleep in a king double bed in the main round house and triple bunk room respectively with convenient facilities including two bathrooms, underfloor heating, a Smart TV, and wood-burning stove.

Fun, bonus features include a stock of board games, plus an outdoor chess set, table football and hammocks on the deck. All this entertainment is also found at the two-person, dazzling chrome Airstream, which is a celebration of retro Americana.

In contrast, the contemporary-styled Shepherds Lodges are a showcase of West Country artisanal talent with made-to-measure furnishings. Two of the Shepherds Lodges can sleep two adults in luxury king-size beds whilst two additional offer a double sofa bed and one even has an adjoining Mini Shepherds Hut with two sets of bunk beds able to accommodate two adults and four children. Dogs are permitted to stay in 9 out of the 10 properties.

Gin Tasting Experience

Established in 2017, Exeter Gin is a multi-award-winning range of artisan gins, Gin Distillery and Gin School in the heart of Devon. Exeter Gin is a family run business operating from the idyllic Teignmouth on the outskirts of Exeter, their gin range has won a multitude of awards both nationally and internationally including a Great British Food Award for the Best Classic Gin for their signature Exeter Gin and a 3* Great Taste Award for their Ivaar the Boneless Navy Strength Gin.

Enjoy an afternoon tasting Gin! Join Exeter Gin at their distillery in Teignmouth, where they will introduce you to ‘Isabelle’, their 450ltr traditional alembic copper still, and explain how they produce their range of multi award-winning Gins and Rums. You will have the opportunity to taste their full range of 7 delicious Gins and all-new 3 Exeter Rum, they will guide you through the notes and tones as well as which tonic, mixers and garnish work best with each. You will then choose your favourite Gin to have a complimentary G&T or Rum and mixer!

Airstream Experience

In 1931, Airstream began with Wally Byam’s dream: to build a travel trailer that would move like a stream of air, be light enough to be towed by a car, and create first-class accommodation anywhere. 

Every inch of an Airstream has a function. Airstream is the most thoroughly tested brand in trailer history. Its engineering is the culmination of over 80 years’ experience plus millions of miles on roads throughout the world. 

Built in 1956, our Airstream is a ‘Sovereign of the Road’ model and epitomises the style of Wally Byam. This particular Airstream, number 1234, was owned by a member of Wally Byam’s Caravanners Club, and the original stickers from a 1961 Omaha, Nebraska meeting are still on the windows. 

Sit back…relax and enjoy the 1950s glamour of vintage Americana.
